About HostSora
An independent web-hosting comparison site with one job: show you what hosting actually costs.
Almost every hosting company advertises a tiny monthly price — “$2.99/mo!” — that you only ever pay for your first term. When that term ends, the plan renews at a much higher rate the marketing page rarely shows. HostSora exists to put that renewal price right next to the intro price, so you can compare hosts by what you’ll really pay over one, three, or five years.
What we do
- Compare the true multi-year cost of hosting plans — intro and renewal — side by side.
- Rank and recommend by genuine fit and real cost, never by how much commission a host pays.
- Publish plain-language, slightly skeptical reviews and guides.
- (Coming soon) Independent uptime monitoring of the hosts we recommend, measured from our own servers and disclosed honestly.
How we make money — and why it doesn’t bias us
HostSora is funded by affiliate commissions: when you click “Go to host” and sign up, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. That’s standard for comparison sites. What isn’t standard is our rule about it — commissions never influence our rankings, our recommendations, or the prices we display. Our “Help me choose” AI advisor isn’t even given commission data; it ranks purely by fit and true cost. See our Affiliate Disclosure for the full details.
How we keep prices accurate
A wrong price is worse than no price, so:
- We research pricing from public sources and verify it against each host’s live checkout.
- Plans we’ve confirmed show a green “verified” badge with the month we checked; ones still being confirmed are clearly labelled.
- We store only raw prices and compute every total, percentage, and projection from them — so the numbers never drift out of sync.
Pricing still changes often, so we always recommend confirming the current price on the host’s own site before buying.
Independent
HostSora isn’t owned by, or operated on behalf of, any hosting company. We’re an independent publisher — our only loyalty is to readers who want the honest number.
