Affiliate Disclosure
How we make money, in plain language — and why it doesn't change what we recommend.
HostSora is reader-supported through affiliate partnerships. When you click a “Go to host” button or another outbound link to a hosting company and then sign up, we may earn a commission. This is at no extra cost to you — you pay the same price you would by going to the host directly (often you pay less, thanks to the promotional rates).
This is how we keep HostSora free to use and pay for the research, tools, and (soon) the uptime monitoring behind it. We disclose it openly because honesty is the entire point of this site, and because guidelines such as the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s endorsement rules require clear disclosure of material connections.
Our promise
- Commissions never influence our rankings or recommendations. We rank and recommend hosts by genuine fit and true multi-year cost — not by how much a company pays us.
- The prices we show are not affected by commissions. We report each host’s intro and renewal pricing as accurately as we can, regardless of payout.
- Our AI advisor is blind to commissions. The “Help me choose” tool is never given affiliate-payout data; it considers only your needs, fit, and cost.
- We’ll happily tell you when something isn’t worth it.Being affiliate-funded doesn’t mean recommending everyone — sometimes the honest answer is a cheaper or different host.
A note on pricing
Hosting prices change frequently and can vary by promotion, term length, and region. We work hard to keep figures current and label which hosts we’ve verified, but you should always confirm the exact price on the host’s own checkout before purchasing.
